PRISHTINA – 6 April 2011 - The legal deadline for declaration of property by senior public officials of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo as provided by the Law no. 03/L-151 on the Declaration, Origin and Control of Property and Gifts ended on 31 March 2011.
The number of senior officials who are obliged to declare the property is: 1830, from the total number 1563 or 85.40% of senior public officials have declared the property, while 267 or 14.60% of senior public officials have not yet declared property.
Among senior public officials who have declared property are the main leaders of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
The Agency will accept the declaration forms of senior public officials who for the first time entered the list of senior public officials in accordance with Law. 03/L-151 until 21 April 2011, and encourages them to perform this legal duty in order to avoid addressing violations to courts.
The Agency within the legal deadline will publish on its web-site property declaration forms and names of senior public officials who have not declared the property, and shall initiate violation procedures for all senior public officials who have not respected the legal deadlines.
