Prishtina, 7 March 2011, the Anti-Corruption Agency publicly announces to all senior public officials who are obliged to make the declaration of their property to the ACA, the legal deadline for the regular annual declaration of their property is the 31 March 2011.
As it is known, the Law on Declaration, Origin of the Property and Gifts of senior public officials, requires all senior public officials to declare their property status to Anti-Corruption Agency. Meanwhile, senior public officials who first entered the list of senior public officials in accordance with the same law have to make the declaration of property within 60 days of entering the official duty.
ACA expects expressed responsibility by senior public officials to respect the legal deadline for declaration of their property in order to be able to avoid the initiation of judicial proceedings. Non-compliance to deadline for declaration of property compels ACA to initiate against those officials violation procedures to the competent courts. Furthermore, the ACA is also compelled to publish their names.
Anti-Corruption Agency is open to cooperation with all its points of contact to all institutions in order for the process of declaration of the property to be finished successfully.
