INDICTMENT CASES BY COMPETENT PROSECUTOR AS A RESULT OF THE WORK OF THE ACA

Specified below are specific cases:

• AKK-02-188-07, the case in question was submitted to the District Public Prosecutor in Peja. According to the agreement reached with the Public Prosecutor of Kosovo in relation to the transmission of information at municipal level prosecutors case is forwarded to the Municipal Prosecutor in Gjakova. On 17.12.2007 was filed an indictment against a municipal court judge in Peja, Mr. Agim Shala, for the criminal offense - abuse of official position and illegal decision of the court.

• AKK-02-472-07, also the case in question was submitted to the District Public Prosecutor in Peja, which was forwarded to the Municipal Public Prosecutor in Gjakova. The latter on 24.04.2008 has indicted Mr. Hajdar Grezda - former Head Executive of the Municipality of Gjakova and Mrs. Fakete Pasha, former Director of Urban Planning for a criminal offense - abuse of official duty while on duty, misappropriation and forgery of official documents.

• AKK-02-241-07, the case was submitted to the Kosovo Police Service. By order of the competent Public Prosecutor, after completion of the investigation an indictment has been filed against Mr. Agim Xhafa - doctor at the University Clinical Centre of Kosovo and Mr. Hajrullah Fejza - official in the Department of Health of the Municipal Assembly of Prishtina, for the criminal offense – abuse of official duty and misappropriation during exercise of duty.

Kosovo Anti-Corruption Agency is convinced that some other cases that have resulted in specific actions, arrests by police, are the product of the ACA work, but in the absence of feedback we are obliged not to register them.
