PRISHTINA, 17 January 2008 - Director of Anti-Corruption Agency Mr. Hasan Preteni at the invitation of his counterpart on Thursday stayed for a one-day visit to Skopje, Macedonia.
During the meeting of Mr. Preteni with the Director of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption of Macedonia Mrs. Mirjana Dimovska was discussed the possibility of bilateral cooperation, in order to exchange experiences and possible conditions that promote the strengthening of law and order in Kosovo and Macedonia.
The two interlocutors agreed to launch joint cross regional initiatives to establish the necessary and proper cooperation of several similar institutions of Western Balkan countries.
This visit of Mr. Preteni is a continuation of earlier visits he had in Slovenia and Albania, and it marks a serious effort to take experiences from different countries that have gone through the transition and have created far more in national strategies to fight against corruption.
