Mr. Preteni focused on providing information on reported cases of corrupt practices at the Agency for corruptive cases in Kosovo, administrative investigation performed and those proceeded to the Public Prosecutor of Kosovo, the degree of property declaration by senior officials, prevention of conflict of interest and registration of gifts, issues related to budget and lack of human resources and identified a number of achievements and problems encountered.
Also, were presented some concrete cases dealing with the misuse of the Kosovo Consolidated Budget, abuse of public office, tendering procedures inconsistent with the legal basis, the existence of nepotism in central institutions, etc.
During the presentation was noted the fact that despite the problems encountered deriving from a restricted budget, limited human resources and lack of capacity, lack of proper support from relevant bodies, in these six months the Agency has achieved to undertake and successfully execute several initiatives as in the field of law enforcement as well as to prevent corruption and educate the public.
Mr. Preteni underlined the fact that in these joint efforts is substantial the increase in public confidence in the work performed by the Agency and the close and mutual cooperation among them. In this regard, it is worth mentioning an increased cooperation with the central authorities and international partners.
